Charles Stewert has more than two decades of experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners on investment strategy and wealth management.
Previously National Head of Financial Planning at Shaw & Partners, managing a team of ~40 advisers, Charles specialises in constructing sophisticated investment portfolios designed to deliver strong long-term outcomes while carefully managing risk. His experience spans equities, fixed income, private credit and alternative investments, enabling him to build diversified portfolios tailored to each client’s objectives.
A core part of Charles’ approach is ensuring investment portfolios are structured in a tax-efficient manner across the appropriate entities, including personal structures, trusts, companies and self-managed superannuation funds. He works closely with accountants and legal advisers to ensure clients’ investment strategies align with their broader financial and estate planning frameworks.
Charles is known for his disciplined and pragmatic approach to markets, focusing on identifying high-quality investment managers and opportunities that can compound wealth over time. Through Market Partners, he leads the development of tailored investment solutions that combine traditional assets with carefully selected private market investments.
He holds dual degrees in Law and Business (Banking & Finance) from the Queensland University of Technology and has over 25 years of experience in financial markets.


James Gerrish has more than 20 years of experience in financial markets specialising in Australian and global equities and fixed income.
Prior to co-founding Market Partners, James was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Shaw & Partners where he built and managed discretionary portfolios for high-net-worth individuals, family offices and self-managed super funds. His approach combines active portfolio management with a strong macro and market awareness, focusing on identifying opportunities across listed equities, credit and alternative investments.
James is widely recognised for his disciplined investment process and clear market insights, developed through managing portfolios across multiple market cycles. James is also the founder of Market Matters, a digital investment platform with over 2,000 members, where he oversees investment strategy, portfolio construction and security selection, while also producing regular market commentary and analysis for investors.
His investment philosophy centres on constructing actively managed portfolios, designed to deliver strong risk-adjusted returns over the long term, while remaining flexible enough to adapt to changing market conditions.
James holds a Bachelor of Management from the University of Newcastle and has over two decades of experience advising investors and managing portfolios across Australian and global markets.
Daniel Schuster is a Senior Investment Adviser at Market Partners, working closely with clients to design and manage investment portfolios aligned with their long-term financial goals.
Daniel specialises in portfolio construction and manager selection across both public and private markets. His investment approach focuses on building resilient portfolios that combine income-generating assets, global equities and alternative investments to deliver sustainable long-term returns.
He has particular expertise in private credit, hedge fund strategies and global equity managers, and plays a key role in the firm’s research and investment selection process. Daniel works closely with clients to ensure their portfolios are appropriately structured across entities such as self-managed superannuation funds, family trusts and companies.
Daniel believes successful investing requires discipline, patience and a clear focus on long-term compounding. He works collaboratively with clients and their professional advisers to develop investment strategies that support both wealth creation and capital preservation.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University and a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning. He is accredited in derivatives and geared investments and has specialist accreditation in Self-Managed Superannuation Funds.


Matthew Snodgrass has more than a decade of experience in financial markets and investment advice, specialising in portfolio construction and strategic asset allocation for high-net-worth individuals, families and self-managed superannuation funds.
Prior to joining Market Partners, Matthew held advisory roles at Ord Minnett and Shaw & Partners, where he worked closely with clients to design and implement tailored investment strategies across equities, fixed income and alternative assets. His experience spans both discretionary portfolio management and long-term strategic advice, helping clients navigate varying market cycles while maintaining a disciplined approach to risk management.
Matthew focuses on constructing portfolios designed to deliver consistent long-term outcomes, combining active investment management with a pragmatic understanding of market dynamics. He works closely with clients and their professional advisers to ensure investment portfolios are structured efficiently across appropriate entities including personal structures, trusts and superannuation funds.
